Step beyond the usual trail and into one of Hyderabad’s most unique natural landscapes. Rising dramatically from the terrain is a towering rock spire — an iconic yet rarely explored natural landmark.

This isn’t a hike to a viewpoint — it’s a hike to the monument itself. Trek to the base of the towering spire, scramble across boulders, discover a hidden cave, and navigate the maze of rock formations surrounding it.

Led by Outdoor Classroom, this is a full-sensory outdoor adventure designed for fairly active individuals and families who are ready to explore beyond the beaten path.

This hike is not for the faint-hearted! Expect scrambling, rocky terrain, hidden passages, caves, and plenty of hands-on exploration. Come ready for a little grit, curiosity, and adventure. 

What to expect:

• Meet & Breakfast Stop — Meet near Ibrahimpatnam and fuel up before the adventure.
• Trail Adventure — Head to the hiking spot and begin the journey into the landscape.
• Spire Exploration — Trek towards the base of the towering rock spire.
• Scrambling Challenge — Climb and navigate boulders and rocky terrain, testing strength, balance, and agility.
• Secret Cave Exploration — Duck into hidden passages and explore the cave tucked within the rock formations.
• Rock Maze Adventure — Discover the dramatic formations surrounding the spire and experience the landscape up close.
• Lunch, Chill & Closure — Take a well-earned break, enjoy lunch, and close the day together.

Difficulty: Moderate — scrambling, caving & exploration-style hiking
Minimum age: 8 years
Group size: 12 participants
Safety: Outdoor experts and first-aid-trained professionals throughout

Getting There

You can self-drive or carpool to the meeting point. Alternatively, Outdoor Classroom can arrange transport. 

A bus from Parade Ground with a guide can also be arranged, or pickup from Gachibowli is available as an option.

Food

Food is not included. Participants can purchase breakfast at the stop near Ibrahimpatnam and pack lunch from the same place to carry along for the hike.

Total window: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, door to door.
